THE STRIPE CO-ORD

Tate means vertical in Japanese — and that's exactly what this fabric does: fine vertical stripes running the full length of both pieces, giving the set a long, unbroken line that makes everything look taller and quieter. The pant is wide-legged with an elasticated waist, a utility pocket at the thigh, and the red TT monogram embroidered just above it — the one flash of colour in an otherwise all-dark look. The overshirt matches exactly: same stripe, same charcoal ground, boxy through the body with a single chest pocket and a curved hem. Worn together they read as a set. Worn apart they don't look like they need each other.
