THE STITCH TEE — NUI BLACK

This is the piece that most openly declares what Akai Ito is about. Two red thread traditions run the collar simultaneously: sashiko stitching — a Japanese folk craft originally used to reinforce fabric, geometric, measured, precise — and cross stitch, more tactile, more visible, fractionally more expressive. They sit side by side on the same collar without explanation. The curved yoke seam and metal tab at the chest are structural decisions, not decoration. In natural cream or jet black, both colourways are shot on the same premium imported cotton — dense enough to hold its shape, breathable enough to wear through heat. The red Tokyo Tori logo embroidery is on the back neck, consistent with the thread running across the whole drop.

Silhouette: Boxy, oversized fit with a dropped shoulder and mid-length hem. A curved yoke seam runs across the chest, breaking the front panel into two planes. A small metal hardware tab sits at the centre of the yoke seam.
